(Day 31)

WOW! Its been a month now since I started doing this project (11months to go) and all I can say is its been a huge tedious, pain in the ass, brain busting, super tiring, unbelievably crippling, gut busting, time comsuming, project >:(....... kidding! but it is a very tedious task since you always have to come up with new intresting photos, and the pressure of posting it on-time kinda makes it your second job which kinda sucks(that's the only bad part at the moment though), the good part is you always challenge yourself to explore new photographing techniques and ideas, a chance to excersie your creativity, the excitement of having great collection of photos, turn ordinary objects into art and most of all see life on a different perspective that no other people can see.

It was a busy day to me when I did this shot(unfortunately) since I had to go to my volunteer job, do grocery, clean my room, and do laundy for my whole family as you can see in the picture I'm in a laundrymat. I was actually planning to take a long exposure shot of the night sky but the clouds unfortunately covered the stars so I just took this picture instead. So for my project agenda tom. i'll try my best and hopefully if the weather permits I'm gonna try my first long expososure night phorography.

(Day 27)

For this picture I used my Ipod touch since I forgot to bring my DSLR(3rd time that I forgot to bring it) and as you can see the quality of the image is not that great but still worthy enough to post it on my blog, I was actually on my way to my part time job early in the morning when I took this image, I don't know why but it just suddenly caught my attention probably because of the backdrop and the point that I'm not the only who needs to wake up early in the morning. I'm pretty disappointed since I could have done better but hey its early in the morning I'm still sleepy, but thank God electronic manufacturers these days are putting cameras on EVERYTHING.

Note to self: ALWAYS BRING YOUR CAMERA!!

This is my first macro shot for my blog, not the best looking macro since I only used my standard lens for this one (apologies), but still not too shabby.

This would be my last nature shot for this month, for the next couple of days I will start doing some macro shots just so to have more variety.

Do you guys know what I do, I listen to jazz music, eat a big tub of ice cream, I watch comedy, smack a printed "smiley face" on my face and I suck it up!! WEIRD but it works for me!! Life must go on...

(Day 14)

For my Day 14 picture I decided to take a picture of my "Katana"(its fake btw, but its sharp as hell), I bought this when I went to night market last summer with a couple of my friends. The guy sold it to me for 120$ knowing that its an original piece of sword, because its my first time buying and seeing this kind of weapon in personal, I decided to bought this right away without thinking(and also my friends pushed me to buy it). Later on I learned that I have a 120$ paper weight(DARN!!!), but its still cool to own and display one...and its also good intimidation weapon for your boss hahaha, YEAH!!!

(Day 13)

This is the room where I do and process all my pictures, as you can see its pretty small and cluttered hahaha. For this photograph, I also did the same thing with my last 3 HDR photos that I uploaded.

(Day 10)

Well, after 3 hellish days of being sick I'm now a bit better than before ( I still have the occasional snuffles and sneezes though :( ), and to make up to you guys from my last 3 uninspired crappy photo I decided to try out my first serious HDR photo attempt YEY!!. So what can I say about this picture?? Well I would say this picture was a bit challenging to me, (Why?) well when I took this photograph at Crescent Beach in White Rock, it was extremely cold about -8 with the wind chill, and it was very cloudy too which it go me a bit worried since I'm not sure if I would be able to take picture with good depth and effect for the skies, but after a bit of tweaking I was able to achieve what I wanted for my picture. It was also my first time to use my brand new cheapass tripod which totally made my life easier.

For the editing, I used a software called "Photomatix", its basically a computer program that produces HDR photo using multiple photographs with diff. exposures (google it for more info) and a bit of Lightroom just to tweak it, overall its was good enuf for me, but I'm hoping that someday I would be able to produce more HDR photos that are better and cooler than this. Hope you guys like it.

Side Note: It was also my first time going here even though I just live 20 minutes away from it lol! So I was a bit excited when I got better since this is what I really planned on this day. In my mind though I was expecting sunshine and a bit of warm weather, unfortunately it went the other way :(

Sorry guys if this is the only picture that I was able to produce this day, I was very sick the whole day and I didn't had the strength even to get out of my bed. Good thing about this photo is it shows how I spent my whole day...Just lying in my bed. :)

(Day 6)

Street Light's Reflection

If I'd have had a paper and pen
I'd have written about that light
On the water it did float
Yellow orange against the dark

i wanted to point it out to you
Such a sight you would've loved
Yet you had so much to say
Against your voice my tongue went dumb

To think me awed by a street light's reflection
And water polluted to the floor
It must've been a lapse in judgement
Doubltful I would've thought this light beautiful had you not been in my arms.

(Day 5)

I'll Wait

How did things fester into this,
the signs we had missed, the
games we played, wishing to grasp
your hands, although so much heartache
is forced upon me from you,
I shall not cave in, my love will
remain, never will it falter and
so I shall wait in faiths arms
till the day you decide to show this
lonely soul a world of excitement
and wonder. So I sit here, waiting,
I shall continue waiting for I belong with you,
I know it to be true, i'll
always wait for you...And never shall
I hate you.

(Day 4)

Aight 4th entry for my project, I took this photo during my b-day (Damn! I'm getting old hahaha). Ok, so I decided to take a picture of my food so I won't forget what I ate during my b-day; I know its stupid but that's how I want to remember it. Ok so the food featured here is called "Tepanyaki", its basically a japanese style steak. It's pretty good but not the best tasting steak I've ever eaten(maybe it depends on the restaurant), overall it was a good night since I really don't go big when it comes to my own b-day. I just like it simple.

(Day 3)

Hey guys. So there's really nothing interesting that happened to me today, so I decided to take a picture of this coffee shop. It was pretty cold during this day and this is the first coffee shop that I saw while walking the Vancouver streets. Suprisingly this shop sell good coffee and in my opinion better than Starbucks (haha). So yeah, hope you guys like it.

Sorry guys, I know this is suppose to be a 1 pic, per day, but something last minute happened to me this day that pretty much this picture sumed it up. (I know what you guys are thinking, why just change the first pic?) Well I made a rule to myself that once I put up something on blogger- especially a photo, I'm not allowed to remove it.

This photo became meaningful to me becasue it reminded me of something, "A Goodbye Doesn't Have To Mean The End."

(Day 2)

Well this is day 2 for my year long project 363 days to go, but to be quite frank I was actually pretty lazy and down to take a photo but I made a commitment so here it is. This day ended as an awesome experience for me,(Why?) Well I decided to take a picture of this couple who said 'hi' to me, I wasn't even looking at them when they greeted me (talk about being super unfriendly).

As a person I never really got used to saying "hi" to a random person from the street, I've always had this feeling that saying "hi" is just a waste of time and it makes a person receiving it uncomfortable , and to some people like me, very creepy. But because of this couple,  I learned what a simple 'hi' can do. Even though its only simple 2 letter word it is so unexpected for me that a 'hi' has this unique power to uplift someones day. It made me smile thats for sure, and as a good gesture I decided to say 'hi' too which also made them smile :), it was such an awesome experience making someone smile. Thats why I decided from now on, I will never end my day without saying 'hi' to a random stranger, I WILL MAKE SOMEONE SMILE!!

Wow, only day 2 and I already learned something, this project is geting mmm, mmmmm, goood! : )

(Day 1) The Beginning

As you might have noticed, I decided to start this project on the first day of the year 2011 (Happy New Year!!). For me, New Year means a fresh new start, a new adventure in our lives, a chance to try out  new things which for most of us is very intimidating. Anyway for my first photo I decided to take a picture of my wall clock hitting 12 o'clock midnight (this picture is not doctored btw). For me this picture symbolizes a new beginning, a new chapter in our own personal book, and its entirely up to us to turn the pages of our book and discover what the future has in store for us.

I almost forgot: for my New Years resolution, I will try to become more productive and serious than last year (why is that, you might ask). Well, I've been slacking off since I graduated secondary school which is almost 2 year ago and  I haven't started college yet, yikes! And so this year I'm gonna try to put my priorities ahead of me and start college as soon as possible.
